About the Author

Background and Description

If you're looking for a Halloween book that just pure fun (and not too scary for the little ones), this is it. Shake Dem Halloween Bones is a collection of four-line stanzas rappin' about your favorite fairytale characters who have all come to the same Halloween party, and they've come to have some fun, and to dance:

Hey, Li'l Red, so sweet, so good,
you sure can shake that ridin' hood.
Come on, Li'l Red, won't you dance with me
at the hip-hop Halloween ball?

That's right, you'll find your favorite fairytale characters at this party: Little Red Ridinghood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Tom Thumb, Snow White, Goldilocks, Puss 'n Boots, Rapunzel, and that wily little fellow, Rumpelstiltskin. So, come along and have some fun. It will soon be a Halloween favorite in your household, as it has been for years in many others. So let me hear you: Shake, shake, shake dem bones now. Shake, shake, shake dem bones. I said, shake, shake, shake dem bones at the hip-hop Halloween ball...

Reviews

Children will sing and dance and chant the refrain as they
shake their bones with the hip-hop rhyming
words and swirling pictures.

This should keep the storytime set jiggling to the
last scoo-bee-doo-bee-doo-wah. Yeah!
