W. Nikola-Lisa is the author of thirty books for readers young and old. His early books reflect his experience as an elementary school teacher and include the ever-popular Shake Dem Halloween Bones, Bein' With You This Way, and How We Are Smart, a multicultural look at the world of multiple intelligences. His more recent books draw on his academic background as professor emeritus at National-Louis University in Chicago where he taught in the Graduate School of Education.
