Background and Description

Follow a family through their pre- and post-Thanksgiving dinner celebration in this rhyming text for the pre-K and Kindergarten crowd. You'll count from one ("Papa bakes one fat turkey") to ten ("Grandma lights ten bright candles") to get the family to the dinner table, and then from ten ("Papa  stacks ten empty plates") back down to one ("Grandma breaks into one big smile") to conclude the celebration. And all through it the family cat cavorts, causing intermittent spells of havoc for the youngest members of the family.
